LET GOD'S BEAUTY SHINE ON ME

BEAUTY

By Frank E. Henrich May 17, 2009

Beauty is a shining star
Beauty is a chocolate covered nut
Beauty is a strawberry sundae
Beauty is hope for eternal life.

Can life provide beauty?
  Can sadness provide beauty?
Can joy provide beauty?
Yes, if God lives in you.

Oh God! Stay with me always,
  Make mundane items flashy,
Make a common meal a delight,
Let little things sprout joy & beauty.

                   I CHOOSE BEAUTY

By Frank E. Henrich Jr. Sept 23. 2007

I choose beauty,
  Yes, say I, choose beauty.
You say, what beauty is here.
  In this placid life?
I say, there is much,
You just have to look for it.

Take my office.
  Your office, you say,
Why it is plain Jane!
Oh! not so, there are pictures
And a cross on the wall,
  A beautiful hand carved cross.

And the pictures portray
  An Italian romantic seaport,
My Mother waving from
  My old home in Lennox,
My family in many images,
Along with my naval ship at sea.

Strip the room of all these
And then there is the beauty
In the sky blue colored walls,
We have to look for beauty.
Oh! you say I am loony,
But I say I am happy.

1. One's greater family are those with whom a meaningful dialogue is exchanged. They can be friend or blood. A friend has to earn it but a relative can lose the honor.

2. Hasty deduction like an ancient egg—looks good from outside.

3. Wheels of fate have many spokes.

4. When weaving rugs all threads are counted.

5. God can not steer a parked car.

6. Every day is a gift not a given.

7. Moderation is the best policy but often is elusive.

8. The big bang creation idea offers no heaven or eternal life.

9. I have 300 friends and their thoughts are in the books in my library.

10. Let us take the cards God dealt to us (our talents) and use them wisely to God's glory and our happiness.

11. Humor is the lubricant of lfe.

12. When you want to stop a discussion, just say and the next day it rained.

Let us have a meaningul dialogue with God's beauty and humor the lubricant of life. It is like weaving rugs of moderation is best or counting the spokes of the wheel of fate. But in all this I choose beauty and my Redeemer King. let the hosannas ring as I use my talents (the cards delt us in life).

We are dealt cards of talent in our life to use wisely for our Redeemer King and our happiness,  Let the hosannas ring. In all this humor is the lubricant of life alsong with the policy of moderation is best.  Yet meaningful dialogues of God's beauty cn vary from weaving rugs to watching the spoke wheels of fate operate.
