CHRISTIAN POEMS & CHRISTIAN DEVOTIONALS FOR THE WEARY & SEARCHING FOR GOD
A BALM OF GRACE

I like to call God, Old Friend,
for He created and loves you and me.
It is easier to pray to Him as
An Old Friend than an awesome
God, for it is both.

    A BALM OF GRACE POEM

What if God, Old Friend, would say to you:

I would like you to bathe
In the balm of My grace
As the twilight of the day
  Slowly ends a day's pace.

Do not grow weary from doing
  For tomorrow that's unknown
For each day will be coming
Will not find you all alone.

For in your spirit I Am
  Not visible and quite silent
Yet there you know so I Am
  Always guiding your ascent.

Let us respond:

Oh! Yes Lord let it be so
  Live within me guiding me
So toward my Heaven glow
Till my journey end will be.

A BALM IS AN ANNOINTING SALVE  OR AGENCY THAT HAS A SOOTHING RESTORATIVE EFFECT.   WHEN GOD GIVES US A BALM,  IT IS A SPIRITUAL ANNOINTING.

JESUS SPEAKS TO DOUBTING THOMAS

John 20:24-29 24 Seeing and Believing Now Thomas , called the Twin, one of the twelve, was not with them when Jesus came. 25 The other disciples therefore said to him, "We have seen the Lord." So he said to them, "Unless I see in His hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and put my hand into His side, I will not believe." 26 And after eight days His disciples were again inside, and Thomas with them. Jesus came, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, "Peace to you!" 27 Then He said to Thomas , "Reach your finger here, and look at My hands; and reach your hand here, and put it into My side. Do not be unbelieving, but believing." 28 And Thomas answered and said to Him, "My Lord and my God!" 29 Jesus said to him, "Thomas , because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed." NKJV

A loss of paradise means the balm of God given by the hands of God. See the doubting Thomas medieval image shown above. For the Lamb of God and His crown of thorns give our life mission and vision through God's annointing.

Balm from the Hands of God helps us to handle Chrisitan sorrow when dealing with our mission and vision concerning paradise. the Doubling Thomas medieval image is very beautiful of St. Thomas, apostle and our Lord Jesus. Yes the Lamb of God and his crown of thorns bring us salvation, praise God forGod's annointing.
