   MY GOD, DO NOT FORSAKE ME !

          Lord, sin weighs heavy on my soul
            I come to you with my hands
          Over my eyes, for shame fills me,
            Yet, I know I need so much
          Your forgiveness and love.

          For this life without you
            Is so dark and awful.
          Please forgive me and
            Do not forsake me
          For I need Your forgiveness.

          The Holy Scriptures tell me
            Of how You paid for my sins
          By Your death on the cross.
            I want to believe that,
          Help me Lord Jesus.

          Restore my soul to You, I pray.

OUR GOD IS AWESOME !

When I start to ponder,
The awesome wonder of God,
Searching for the expressive words,
   My voice falls silent.

From a single buttefly,
   Who finds his food,
To decisions by the president,
   That will effect millions.

To the formation of rocks,
   Millions of miles of land,
Yet One who provides,
   The smiles of happiness.

One so awesome as all this,
   Yet wants to live with me,
What can one say to Him,
   But thank you with all my heart.

WE MUST HATE THEM LUKEWARM HABITUAL SIN AND SINS, THE DEADLY SINS,

JESUS, HELP ME AS I AM DYING WITHOUT HELP. WITH NO HOPE I WILL PERISH. JESUS COME TO MY AID.

A sermon on the mount medieval illustration or image is on this page. Satan attacks us, yes, devil attacks upon us will prevent us from stopping hibitual sin for we will then condone sinful acts. Jesus say we must hate sin as I am so you hate sin as you flee from Satan, yes flee from the devil resisting temptation. Yes, overcome and hate sin.

TESTIMONY  -- This is Frank Henrich and a true story in my life. I was having difficulty keeping from sinning and I told a friend. He arranged for me to meet with his pastor. A person I did not know. When I arrived for the appointment we prayed and then the pastor immediately said, “You have forgot to hate sin!” He was right! Two minutes later I walked out knowing what I had to do. Praise God for His word of correction to me. It was then that I wrote the below poem to share with others in the same need. Even though this happened 35 years ago, I remember it as if it were yesterday. Does it also apply to your life? Have you forgot to hate sin? .

         T O H A T E S I N !

It’s ok to hate sin,
   In fact we must
Or we will be miserable
   In this mixed up world.

Hate you say, Oh No!
   Hate is a bad, bad, bad.
Yet I say, yes, yes, yes,
   Hate we must do.

For only when we
   Hate our sin weaknesses,
Will God give us
The power to conquer it.

In Romans 12:9, Paul writes,
   Let Love be genuine,
Hate what is evil,
   Hold fast what is good.

The trouble today
   Is the church
Has forgot to hate sin
   It condones and is sick.

Does this apply
   To the individual & culture?
Yes, for one corrupts society
   And the other individuals.

Can these two
   Be separated, held apart?
No, it is a mistake
   For one corrupts the other.

It is not the individual
   We must hate,
But sinful conduct
   In its many forms.

For Satan would devour us,
   So be very watchful
Oh, church help us
   Be a guiding light.

For he who would
   Condone sinful acts
Let him be forewarned
   He must learn to hate sin.

1 Peter 5:6-9: So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and in his good time he will honor you. Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about what happens to you. Be careful! Watch out for attacks from the Devil, your great enemy. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for some victim to devour. Take a firm stand against him, and be strong in your faith.
