GO TO HEAVEN COVERED BY THE BLOOD OF JESUS, NOT BY GOOD WORKS

DO GOOD PEOPLE GO TO HEAVEN?
Will the persons who have been good loving charitable people go to Heaven when they die even if they refused to ask Jesus
to be their Saviour? Let us set aside the question of what happens to those who lived before Jesus came to Earth and let God
judge them on the knowledge they were given of their God Creator. But for us who know of Jesus, we have a choice to declare
Him our Saviour God, who the Father sent down to Earth, His only Son, to pay the price for our sins with His bloodshed for
us on the cross.
John 3:16-18 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth
on him should not perish, but have eternal life. 17
For God sent not the Son into the world to judge the world; but that the world should be saved through him.
18 He that believeth on him is not judged: he that believeth not hath
been judged already, because he hath not believed on the name of the only begotten Son of God. ASV
You say, ok those who proclaim Jesus and live by His desires are saved and go to Heaven; but how about the
non believers who are wonderful people; most loving, kind and charitable to their fellowman? Is not such a grand life also
a ticket to Heaven? To answer this question I would like to tell you a story.
It is the story about
the people who live in two houses. In the Old Testament times before Jesus, the Jews were instructed in Egypt by God through
Moses to place a lamb’s blood on their front door and the Angel of Death would not come and kill the first born of the
family. This is call the Passover. The Jewish people did this and their first born children lived where the Angel of Death
did not pass over the Egyptian homes without the blood on their door and death came. God had this act performed to show His
power over death. The Jewish people relive the Passover every year showing that the blood of the lamb saves them.
So in our story we have Peter who is not the kindest man who lived. He has sinned often but knowing Jesus
he has confessed them to God and in his imperfect way has proclaimed Jesus and therefore his sins are covered by the
blood of Jesus on the cross. Now, Josie is a wonderful person. The salt of the earth! Always doing something good from someone
and all have high praise for her. She has heard of Jesus and said no to Him and thinks that her good works will save her.
Now the Angel of Death comes to both Peter and Josie. What will the Angel of Death do when he comes to
Peter’s house? He will pass over it since Peter has his door of life covered by the sacrificial blood of Jesus
and Peter will go to Heaven. What happens when the Angel of Death comes to Josie’s house? Her door of life is not covered
with the blood of Jesus so there is no coverage of her sins and the Angel of Death comes in and destroys. Goodness acts can
never cover your sins because God provided a different way. God the father sent his son, Jesus, down to earth to be that sacrificial
lamb.
John 3:35-36 35 The Father loves the Son, and has given all things into His hand. 36 He who
believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides
on him." NKJ
John 1:29-35 John the Baptist speaking of Jesus being the Lamb Of God 29 The next day
John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, "Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world! 30 This is
He of whom I said, 'After me comes a Man who is preferred before me, for He was before me.' 31 I did not know Him; but that
He should be revealed to Israel, therefore I came baptizing with water." 32 And John bore witness, saying, "I saw
the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and He remained upon Him. 33 I did not know Him, but He who sent me to baptize
with water said to me, 'Upon whom you see the Spirit descending, and remaining on Him, this is He who baptizes with the Holy
Spirit.' 34 And I have seen and testified that this is the Son of God." NKJV
It’s
not about us and how good we are. It is all about are our sins being covered by the blood of Jesus. You say that is not fair
of God! You should not judge me Frank!! I am not judging you. I am only telling you what God tells us in His holy Scriptures.
Would you, the created, be telling your creator how you want people saved for a life in Heaven with Him? It is like an invited
guest telling the host who He should invite to the party. It is not his place to so order. Just think, who do you think
you are telling God how to judge? Your creator has decided you need your sins covered by Jesus blood. Does God want us to
do good works of charity and love? Yes, of course,we do them because God wants us to be his arms and voice here on earth but
not for salvation.
Eph 2:7-10 Saved by faith not works 8 For by grace you have been saved through
faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast. 10 For we are His workmanship,
created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. NKJV
Remember a Peter type person can be a woman as well as a Josie type person can be a man. So if you are
a Josie type person depending on your good works, think again, before it is too late and accept Jesus as your Savior and have
your sins covered.
John 5:18-24 Life and Judgment Are Through the Son 18 Therefore the Jews sought
all the more to kill Him, because He not only broke the Sabbath, but also said that God was His Father, making Himself equal
with God. 19 Then Jesus answered and said to them, "Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself,
but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner. 20 For the Father loves the Son, and
shows Him all things that He Himself does; and He will show Him greater works than these, that you may marvel. 21 For as the
Father raises the dead and gives life to them, even so the Son gives life to whom He will. 22 For the Father judges no one,
but has committed all judgment to the Son, 23 that all should honor the Son just as they honor the Father. He who does not
honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him. 24 Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in
Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life. NKJV
