A high school student says,
I
want to be a football star
And I want to be drum major,
Why can't he be both?
A woman aims
to be a star
In the busy business world
With a family of six to care,
Why can't she be both?
A factory worker desires
To play top seeded golf tournaments
And with a family, where's time?
Why can't he do all three?
A doctor wants family time
And notoriety of greatness
Neither goals are accomplished
Well, why can't he do both?
When our pursuits are conflicting,
What options will solve our problem?
Unfortunately, there are none
For one will become a first
love.
We have the problem of how
To discard the second love,
The longer we wait to destroy
The greater our suffering will be.
So it is with Christians I fear,
They make God their
first love,
Then other goals come creeping in,
Serving God becomes second.

that will help you:
Rev 2:1-7 "To the angel of the church of Ephesus write, These things says He who holds
the seven stars in His right hand, who walks in the midst of the seven golden lamp stands: 2 know your works, your labor,
your patience, and that you cannot bear those who are evil. And you have tested those who say they are apostles and are not,
and have found them liars; 3 and you have persevered and have patience, and have labored for My name's sake and have not become
weary.
4 Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love. 5 Remember
therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lamp
stand from its place — unless you repent. 6 But this you have, that you hate the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also
hate. 7 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will give to eat from
the tree of life, which is in the midst of the Paradise of God."' NKJV

HUMBLE - - Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up in honor. James 4:10
JOY - - For you will not leave my soul among the dead or allow your holy one
to rot in the grave. You will show me the way of life granting me the joy of your presence and the pleasures of living with
you forever. Psalm 16: 10-11
GRACE - - For the Lord God is our sun
and our shield. He gives us grace and glory. The Lord will withhold no good thing from those who do what is right. Psalm 84:11
But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much, 5 that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us
life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved!) 6 For he raised
us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus.
7 So God can point to us in all future ages as examples of the incredible wealth of his grace and kindness toward us,
as shown in all he has done for us who are united with Christ Jesus. Ephesians 2:5-8
ABIDE

GUIDANCE - - He will protect his faithful
ones, but the wicked will disappear in darkness. No one will succeed by strength alone. Those who fight against the Lord will
be shattered. 1 Samuel 2:9
AGAINST FEAR - - This is my command—be strong and
courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9
