GOD ORCHESTRATES THE EVENTS
AND WE WONDER
Oh, I have no excuse, foolish me!
When I forgot to trust my Creator,
For my invisible
God touched me
And I failed to acknowledge His hand,
For God orchestrates the events
And we
wonder in amazement.
We see God's hand in Jesus birth,
His mother riding on a donkey,
Worn out gives birth in a cave
In the company of animals,
For God orchestrates the events
And we wonder in amazement.
The journey had been long and hard,
Yet it had to be done said Caesar,
No one greeted Joseph in Bethlehem,
Herod wanted the God Child dead,
For God orchestrates the events
And we wonder in amazement.
Yes, so the Scripture was fulfilled
With the Saviour
born in Bethlehem,
The angels summoned the shepherds
And the wise men came from afar,
For God orchestrates
the events
And we wonder in amazement.
Then came Joseph's dream so clear,
And the flight
to Egypt for safety,
These were planned events of Jesus' birth
By a loving and caring
Father God,
For God orchestrates the events
And we wonder in amazement.
Today, walking
in the Christian life,
We learn that as our lives unfold,
An ever present God
directs us,
Even when life is so painful,
For God orchestrates the events
And we wonder in amazement.
Oh God, we are so weak and fragile
Fill our lives with your wonderful
grace
Oh Holy Spirit, control our thoughts
Keep them holy and ever watchful,
For God orchestrates
the events
May I never doubt Him again.
