LORD, MUST I SUFFER ALSO ?
THIS IMAGE WAS PAINTED ON LEATHER IN A DEVOTIONAL BOOK
AROUND 1450 AD, 550 YEARS AGO. NOTE THE BRILLANT COLORS AFTER SUCH A LONG TIME. THIS IMAGE WAS PAINTED TO BE VIEWED
BY ONE PERSON, YET TODAY THROUGH THE WEB, YOU CAN ALSO HONOR THE SUFFERING OF OUR LORD.

Oh! Jesus my suffering Saviour
Tis to You I bend my knee in adoration,
Could I suffer as You did on a tree?
Hands and feet pieced by holding nails.
Oh! just the thought of the pain
Sends my mind a reeling in anguish,
Never let me forget that torment
Nor the awesomeness of Your gift.
Upon my lips Your praise does flow
With gratitude I walk each day,
What ever things I must suffer
Let me accept freely as You did.

JESUS'
SUFFERING FORETOLD IN PSALM 22
14 I am poured out like water,
and my bones are out
of joint;
my heart is like wax,
it is melted within my breast;
15 my strength is dried up like a
potsherd,
and my tongue cleaves to my jaws;
thou doest lay me in the dust of death.
16 Yea, dogs are round about me;
a company of evildoers
encircle me;
they have pierced my hands and feet.
17 I can count all my bones,
They stare
and gloat over me;
18 they divide my garments among them,
and for my raiment they cast lots.

When I view the crucifixion of Jesus, I see how Jesus suffered. and I ask why must i suffer and know its ok; this sickness
and old age for it will not make me weary or tired as I read this free Christian poem.
From the Bible: Old Testament: Ecclesiastes
Chapter 3 Verses 1 through 13. “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under Heaven.
A time to be born and a time to die,
A time to plant and a time to uproot,
A time to kill and a
time to heal,
A time to tear down and a time to build,
A time to weep and a time to laugh,
A time to mourn and a time to dance,
A time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
A time to
embrace and a time to refrain,
A time to search and a time to give up,
A time to keep and a time
to throw away,
A time to tear and a time to mend,
A time to be silent and a time to speak,
A
time to love and a time to hate,
A time for war and a time for peace.
What does the worker
gain from his toil? I have seen the burden
God has laid on men. He has made everything beautiful in
its time.
He has also set eternity in the hearts of men, yet they can not
Fathom what God has done
from the beginning to the end.
I know there is nothing better for man than to be happy and to do
Good while they live. That everyone may eat and drink and find
Satisfaction in their toil, for this is the gift of God.”
When I am old and weary I will look on this medieval image of the crucificion of Jesus, seeing Jesue suffering and ask
the question why do I suffer As I read this Christian free poem, is it necessary that I suffer?
