Where Has Time Gone?
By Mary Henrich Doria & Frank Henrich December 27, 2007
Where has time gone?
Do you know?
Where can it be found?
Has it hidden behind your ear
Like a magician’s coin, so
round?
Has it taken your car for a ride?
Has it gone down the street?
If I should run after it,
Will we ever meet?
Is it pouting in a corner, hiding its face?
Is it running ahead like a sprinter in a
race?
Is it lagging behind and moving slowly out of pace?
Oh, me, oh, my,
I wonder where my time has
gone.
Has it gone into the grandfather’s watch,
Just ticking on and on?
Has it gone into my
favorite book,
Waiting for me to take a look?
If I put on sunglasses, will I see it better?
Oh, me,
oh, my, it has gone forever.
Now I must sit down and cry,
For time has gone and said, “Good-bye.”
