PRESENT YOURSELF DAILY TO GOD

Here we see Jesus being presented in the temple. We also
were most blessed if we had parents who presented us to God asking that we be used in His service. Some of us have presented
ourselves to God on our own. Either way we become part of His family and also His servant. We look forward in hope to eternal
life in heaven with Him. But the question that begs to be answered: Is this only a one time event? When we consider the question
deeply, the answer comes clearly to our rational mind. No, not once but daily. Continuously we should be there in His temple
presenting ourselves asking him to use us. Today, because of Jesus fulfilling the scriptures prophecies, the temple is no
longer a building. The temple where God dwells is within us - yes our body has replaced the temple building.
1 Corinthians 3:16-17 Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in
you? If anyone defiles the temple of God , God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are.
Yes, the scriptures promise the indwelling of the Holy Spirit in us even if we do not feel Him there.
It is the promise of Jesus expressed so beautifully in Peter’s sermon to the people of Jerusalem. In
Acts 3:17-20 And now, brethren, I know that in ignorance ye did it, as did also your rulers. But the things which God foreshowed
by the mouth of all the prophets, that his Christ should suffer, he thus fulfilled. Repent ye therefore, and turn again, that
your sins may be blotted out, that so there may come seasons of refreshing from the presence of the Lord; and that he may
send the Christ who hath been appointed for you,
What a wonderful gift we have knowing that God is
within us. Let us each day, take some minutes of quiet time and present ourselves to God. This presentation so beautifully
painted in 850 AD by a monk convinces us we should do so. I will; how about you?
